Kaneda Izayoi (金田 十六夜 Kaneda Izayoi) is a supporting character of Olympus Pretty Cure. She is Miwa's mother who works as an architect traveling throughout the country.
Appearance[]
Izayoi dresses professionally, wearing a navy-blue business suit, gray turtleneck, a pencil skirt; black tights, and narrow glasses with a chain by the left lens. She has dirty-blonde hair that she fastens into a bun, piercing blue eyes, and fair skin. Strangely enough, she displays the same single pointed tooth her daughter has, but is only visible when she emotes.
Personality[]
Izayoi is a cold, no nonsense woman who projects an unsettling aura. She does not tolerate Miwa's capriciousness or Kajiya's laxity. She has difficulty expressing empathy, something she struggles to overcome, with her family being the only people she shows any kindness for.
History[]
Izayoi is one-quarter French, and was ostracized because of her foreign features. Like any devoted Japanese businesswoman, she struggled to find success in a male dominated field. She constructed Kajiya's former restaurant, which she took immense pride in.
Relationships[]
Kaneda Miwa - She does not appreciate her daughter neglecting her studies, especially when she catches wind of Miwa scoring below average in exams. She is the only family member that Izayoi routinely contacts, She wants her daughter to actually succeed in life, and not end up like Kajiya.
Kaneda Kajiya - Izayoi fell in love with him because of his cooking, with his special omurice being one of the few things to thaw out her usual icy demeanor. When his restaurant closed down, she became frustrated with his perceived carelessness.
Shimizu Akira - Izayoi likes Akira's ascetic design, even though she does not consider art a viable career path. She also likes how Akira scolds Miwa for her grades despite having varying degrees of success.
